I got checkers shaved into my head and layered my hair last week. I really like it because it's significantly shorter and I get more WTF stares from randoms. Also, I'm either obsessed with this vintage shapeless leather coat or I just want to look like a gothic mad scientist. Or both. I paired it with a clean vintage givenchy sleeveless shirt, black jeans and creepers. It goes with my whole theory of me want to look like a mad scientist but I guess it looks quite effortless because of the minimalistic styling.

It's been a while since I posted on Unconventional Morning but I blame the work involved in savethevain, school, and my I-dont-care-what-I-wear phase. I'm glad that's over and done with. But now, I'm going through a phase where I ONLY want to buy thrift store clothing or well-made pieces that will last me longer than a few seasons. I'm sick of being brainwashed into consumerism and buying trendy items that I'm only going to wear 5-6 times and then throw it away. so I'm in the process of changing my buying habits.

Since I've been so "offline" these past months, I've made a miniature list of some things that the internet might want to know about me now.

1. I'm a huge school nerd.

2. I have a boyfriend.

3. I wear my Burberry leather sleeves coat everyday.

I wore this all afternoon in the scorching heat while running errands and stocking up on random stuff at the mall. Well I did cheat a little, I took off my vest when the heat was unbearable but if you haven't noticed, I'm really digging this whole monochrome black and white ensemble. I'm probably going to be religiously wearing black pants, white tees and leather outerwear for the next while.

Cooking 101

Some of you guys have been asking how I stay healthy and the foods I eat and what not so aside from take-out sushi and eating out, I sometimes cook for myself. I'm no cook but I think this is the best dish ever to cook on your own because it's fast, easy and there won't be a lot of dishes to take care of after. Also, the taste has a refinement and tastes really fresh because it isn't drenched in sauce. I hate really saucy things that drain out the taste of the actual vegetable.

So I cannot put it simpler than this. Take whatever stir-friable vegetables you have in your fridge (cucumber, zucchini, peppers, mushrooms, etc) and chop them up. Then put it in a pan with olive oil, cooking wine and a touch of a tasty sauce. Throw in ginger and garlic. Done.

Trust me this is the best thing ever if you want something refined and super duper fast.

Sam (my friend with gorgeous ombre hair) and I went downtown today to look for a pair of boots that I was raving over from Topshop and hoped and prayed that it would be available at the Bay @ Queen Street but it wasn't my day. Canada is pretty slow with things anyways - I mean we receive things a mellenium after everyone else does. But I paid a visit to Black Market where I bought three new leather jackets for myself! They are totally awesome and I'm going to buy a bunch of studs online and try to work my DIY skills and tadahh - totally new fall wardrobe. So if you have a few hours to kill in Toronto and want amazing clothes, go nuts at Black Market. And I also picked up this amazing knuckle armour ring at Borderline (walk past Black Market a bit) and I'm about to die from it's superiority - such a perfect statement piece for a minimal outfit without killing the emptiness.

I bought these vintage 8 hole docs the other day and when I was pulling on the tag of the back of the shoe, it snapped off. Now it is a bit less convenient to slip these on but at least I didn't pay the full doc marten price - barely even half. I bought these pants earlier on the year when they were on sale and I'm glad to bring them back again, I love them! And I paired it with my favourite leather jacket and a shirt that my friend gave me which I cut up into a tank top. I know it is a million degrees out but there's air conditioning... but don't worry, I do take the jacket off when I'm walking in the scorching heat.

I originally bought a pair of beautiful Danier leather trousers to sell on savethevain but I didn't notice the huge yellow-y piss stain on the pant leg when I bought them. So I decided to cut them and sew a hem on the bottom to wear them as shorts for myself and now they are by far my favorite pair of shorts I own - I love the zipper on the side because I tend to tuck in my longer shirts into my bottoms and the zipper is perfect for that.

Now that I've noticed my style take a more materialistic toll, I've realized that it really is about quality rather than quantity. There is no reason for having a big closet if everything in there is shitty but having a select few pieces that you absolutely adore is wonderful. And now that I do have somewhat of an income from savethevain, I can start buying some nicer pieces. Money is gooooood.

I'm usually not a big jewelry fan but yesterday I bought this beautiful necklace I saw at H and M and the ear cuff from a vintage store off Queen Street (sorry i forgot the name!). The necklace is simple and elegant while miraculously being somewhat masculine. Hopefully this necklace won't be buried and forgotten in the mountains of clothing on my bedroom floor and the ear cuff simply won't get lost. I've came to a conclusion that I wear the same stuff all year round. This sweater has been accompanying me when it was -10 degrees out and I just took it out today when it was 30 degrees. My mom says I'm weather blind but I've simply grown out of my t shirt and tank top collection and too uninspired and broke to get more. There's only so many white tees and random vintage tank tops that you can get until you get bored of it all. Although this sweater isn't the most extravagant thing you've seen on the web, at least it isn't another white tee with blue stripes :).

Look at us asians embracing our asianess. :D Since this is a fashion blog and not a "look how asian I am blog" I guess I'm going to write about my clothes. I bought this shirt on sale at Abercrombie and Fitch when I went to Detroit, I really like the quality and the fit. And these sandals are really cool - they are the best gladiators I've seen that don't look all Jesus-y and more Roman bitch. (aka edgy)

I love throwing the perfect oversized cardigan with basics. I'm just obsessed with being lazy which I probably accumulated from school and it really sometimes does reflect my style. And then its back to the cold which I somewhat enjoy too but not the trekking to school in 20 cm snow part.

Everybody needs an "IT" coat but this is the IT-est of the IT-est - the Burberry trench coat. It's so IT that they even have a section on their site called Art of the Trenches and it is recognized as one of those fashion staples that everyone supposedly needs their closet or else they'll rot in fashion hell. Clearly that's not the case because I've survived my seventeen years of life without it but an impeccably structured jacket with badass leather sleeves won't hurt as a new addition to the closet. On a side note, never have I spent $2000 on a piece of clothing nor have I ever bought a piece of clothing in a garment bag. Sorry I'm new to the whole buy-a-luxury item gig so I'm still in awe that I even own this.

I found this aboriginal-esque jacket with a leather panel on the front and the back when I went thrifting a few weeks ago. I really like the obnoxious color blocking trend but I find it quite hard to incorporate that into my muted and neutral outfits that I've been sporting for the last 10 years. What I love more than this trend is simple contrasting materials and details of an item. I paired this with a basic white shirt and trousers from Zara with a black clutch I made out of synthetic leather. This carries all my shit when I do out, I love it. I'm going to make one out of a better quality leather once I get my hands on an ipad 2. I would have gotten that bad boy if I didn't chickened out on the gigantic line up on March 25. But I would have probably been bored/ hungry/ restless to death.

I know I'm excruciatingly late on the Mcqueen inspired H&M pants but here they are. I really only wear these pants with a structured blazer and an oversize knit scarf or else they remind me a lot of pajama pants and I'm not really fond of the pajama pants look. I'm having a relaxing break from school right now and the past day consisted of flipping through magazines, browsing the web and walking around. It really is a great change from conjugating French verbs and writing insightful pieces about religion.

I know I'm a little late on the Paris fashion week posts but I just had to post my favorite collection. Gareth Pugh. one of the best designers and my personal favourite. He never fails to deliver an interpretive and captivating show. In my mind, Gareth is the fashion epitome of yin-yang in terms of sculpting architectural leather and bad-ass shapes while simultaneously creating effortless silhouettes with chiffon pants and sheaths.

The amazing part is, you could wear every single one of these pieces individually and it would be very wearable. And what blows my mind is the cohesion of the collection; not only did he create outfits that juxtapose two opposite elements but they all flow logically! And what really really blows my mind is that this bitch has created an empire but he is still really fricken young.

But, I feel like an ass blogging about how tired I am when there are thousands of people missing/dead in Japan. We always hear about these devastating disasters but we rarely ever do anything. I know it's hypocritical coming from a materialistic fashion blogger and I may sound like one of those "let's save the world" idealists but our responsibility should consist of helping people who are less fortunate.

These were some of the photos I found on my computer which were taken during a random walk back home from school. This jacket really reminds me of a 80's crack whore partly because it danked when I first picked it up at the black market. Also in the picture is my huge ass black leather school bag I sewed together and my sister's TNA beanie (yeah, I'm weird). On a side note, I lost my charger to my camera. I honestly have no idea how that happened. I need to be organized and remember where I put my shit! :(

I'm currently very inspired by mixing different textures with classic silhouettes. I'm obsessed with crochet, mesh and fur and in combination, they look extravagant. I've always loved the juxtaposition of a skimpy and vulgar shirt with a luxurious fur jacket or leather trousers. I'm also trying to reinvent color into my wardrobe but I always ease back to my comfort zone of a desaturated color palette. Maybe during spring time I will be inspired by the bright weather. But as much as I hate the feeling of being cold, nothing is more inspiring than waking up to a mild and muted winter day. :)

Zoo Magazine Fall 2011

I was on my way to Chapters the other day so I can spend a good hour or two free loading on their magazine collection without the intention of buying anything. But I ended up picking up a copy of the latest issue of Zoo Magazine because it's a very interesting issue with interviews and write ups about phenomenal artists and designers. There are a few bad ass editorials in the magazine that sparked up my interests that basically sum up what I'm super into right now.

I'm currently inspired by architecturally sculpted shapes, tribal accents, rich colors, timeless pieces, and of course, goth. After flipping through the magazine for a couple of nights, I'm actually motivated to clean my room and organize my shit load of clothes so I can actually think about what I'm going to wear in the morning. It's a great change from grabbing pieces that's the closest proximity to my bed.

Creeper Lovin

I know creepers might be a reminiscent of that weird goth that used to go to your high school or slutty harijuku girls but personally, when they are styled nicely they are phenomenal. My black and white oxford creepers from Demonia are my babies. I trek through intense Canadian weather everyday in them and it feels awesome. And when I walk through the halls at school everyone thinks I'm a psychotic creep but in my opinion, I think I look like an evil bitch. :D

Everyone has their inevitably endless to-do list by their side whether it be school, piano lessons, your job, shopping, whatever. But sometimes (or all the time), we get overwhelmed by the spectrum of things we have to do. You have one of two options. One, scrap all the bogus shit that you don't really have to do. Question yourself about the purpose of what your doing because doing something that has little or no purpose is kind of dumb. Or two, uncover something that relieves your little stress molecules (clearly I'm not a science person). When I'm stressed from school work or my side projects, I grab my tripod, remote and camera and start snapping pictures of myself. I'm not sure how that relieves stress, but a good 10 minute session is equivalent to an hour in heaven (unless I look ugly in the photos).

But anyways, I'm not telling you to take pictures of yourself. But if it works, great. If it doesn't, try something else like taking a walk, watching porn, or whatever you like to do.

Acne delivers another beautiful collection on their online store. I extracted these images randomly from the site so I am not positive about how recent this look book was presented. But this is still very inspiring. Like previous Acne look books, I adore the simplicity in the color palette and the effortless styling of the garments. My favorite outfit would be the asymmetrical mustard tee paired with the gray slacks because of the exuberant colours. The gray brings out the dimness of the yellow which reminds me of a warm winter sunset at the beach. Oh, and the hat and the boots are pretty kick ass as well.

I'm currently studying for my math exam that I am determined to get 100% on (no joke) but I took a little break and ran outside to get some good lighting and took a picture wearing my new favourite tee. The words don't show up in the picture but this is what it says:

Here are the pictures of my super short hair now! It's quite a change from my longer hair but at least it's easier to manage. Now when I run to school I don't even have to look in the mirror anymore because this hair is so easy to manage and it takes me literally five minutes to get ready which is super helpful because I stay up late to study for exam. Five extra minutes of sleep feels so much better in the morning.

Lately, I've been wearing a lot of plain oversized shirts and scarves because I'm too lazy to think about what the wear so I just throw on a shirt and scarf.

Although I've never seen him work with jersey or stretchy material for that matter, it turned out brilliant. I bought these bad boys at this cute goth boutique on Queen Street called Hells Belles and I love them. I promised myself that I'd snatch these on Boxing Day and I did. These are probably going to be my new favourite shoes for a while (replacing my docs). I'm still debating whether I should wear them to school or not because it might be a little weird for a guy to wear platform shoes... but I guess I should do whatever makes me happy. Speaking of things that make me happy, I love the H and M sale section. I scored these Alexander Mcqueen inspired pants and this Black Book tee (which basically sums up my life) for 50% off or something like that.

Currently, I'm working on un-studing this belt I found at a thrift store a while ago and studding a few of my blazers and shirts. By the way, sorry my posts haven't been very interesting, I've been working on a lot of things lately and I swear I'll be posting an outfit picture soon.

Sorry I haven't been blogging for the past week. I've been caught up with Christmas and I'm really really sick. I won't be better by New Years or New Years Eve so I'll probably spend my time laying in my bed and touching away on my iTouch and working on my current non-profit project which will hopefully be launched in late January 2011.

Anyways, this is an editorial from the December issue of i-D and I love the disproportionate shapes of the clothing. Also, the androgynous is aristocratic prince in stilettos meets fierce samurai. Also, the clothing looks so comfortable, I wish I could wear them while staying in my bed for two whole days to recover.

I was browsing on http://www.ln-cc.com/ and came across a couple of items I absolutely adore... but the prices on these bad boys are not good. But to be honest, all of these items are really practical. The JW Andersen boots look superb for trampling through snow. The Raf Simons see-through hoodie is... err... cute and breezy for summer, I guess. And the Rick Owen socks look so warm and they are unique because everyone where I live has those grey socks with the red line on the top. And the Damir Doma jacket is just super sexy and warm-looking.

Everyone at my school says I want stupid things. But in all honesty, Sillybandz and PS3s aren't much better. If I could ask Santa what I want for Christmas, it would be this and the ability to make a website!

Yesterday, our school had a spirit day where we were supposed to wear either red and green or tacky holiday wear and this is what I came up with. Everybody was prancing around in their gross/cute stuff while I pulled out my poo-green jacket and mahogany shirt. It's actually quite depressing because usually, this is the most Christmas-y I get. We'll see how I'll end up dressing closer to Christmas day. One of the main reasons is the uninspiring super-cold weather. I'm fine when I'm outside for less than two minutes, but after that, I'll be on the verge of freezing to death. Although now that I looked at this set of photos, it's rather beautiful. I apologize for the bland faces, but I really felt like being creepy :).

Walkin' in a Winter Wasteland

When Christmas kicks in, there are so many things I absolutely adore. But the one thing I really fucking love is the deadly -30 degrees weather that can probably kill me. Walking home is so much more easier with giant puddles of brown shit and heaps and heaps of snow. Oh and not to mention the insane wind chill, getting frost bites on your ears SO chic.

And yes, winter does result in slight delusion (I don't usually swirl my tongue like that). I took these shots and video with my iTouch,when I was on the verge of insanity, to express my great inevitable love for winter. Like in all of Shakespeare's plays, great love always leads to ultimate fall downs. And that statement is true, I fucking fell down and it was ultimate. I slipped on a marble-hard panel of ice on the ground. It was SO great. I love winter so much.

Snow hits a physcological hotspot in me that makes me super excited for Christmas. I'm going to start making my wishlist very soon because my parents are giving me $500 in hard cold cash this season! You cannot imagine how excited I am and how useful the money will be when I go to the Jeremy Laing x Complex Geometries sale this weekend.

In this outfit, I'm sporting my new sweater from the Black Market. Many people have asked me what that is and it's a vintage store off Queen which sells everything for ten dollars or less. And if you are curious, yes, I was extremely cold when I took this photo as I took off my jacket to show the shoulders. I scurried back in the house as soon as I snapped a couple of quick shots of this outfit. Also, this is one of the rare cases that I'm not wearing docs!

I took this quote from José Bergamin and it was the title of my essay on To Kill a Mockingbird I wrote a few years ago for school. Somehow, the white-ness and the simplicity of my outfit (pyjamas) reminded me of this quote. It really is an accurate statement and it is something to ponder about. I've always tried to find the difference between ignorance and innocence and to be honest, I'm still not crystal clear about their differences. But all I know is that ignorance and innocence are both scapegoats from the truth. But it really depends how you interpret it.

Speaking of interpretation, I think my previous post made me sound like a dick to some extent. Superficial things isn't all I care about, there's more to it. But just to make it clear, I'm not some superficial ass hole who only cares about his looks...

Winter Surplus

I've been getting really lazy lately which is reflected in the activity, or passivity, on my blog. I'm too impatient to snap another outfit photo at the moment but I felt the necessity to share my newest additions to my collection of winter jackets. The first beige-ish jacket is a hand-me-down from my mom. I think it's from the 1990's or whenever shoulder pads were in because the shoulder pads on this parka is enormous. Spending quality time with my sewing machine is a priority for me before winter. The military parka is from Black Market which I bought as soon as I noticed it. If you're curious, this is a LEGIT military parka from the US army.

Speaking of buying new stuff, I've been often called vain and labelled as a materialist. Let's face it, I love buying new ~~old~~ clothes. To be honest, I've never understood the philosophy behind materialistic and vain being a negative character trait. The association between a materialist and the inability to be intellectual, spiritual, and profound is bullshit. And what's wrong with wanting a lot of shit and wanting to look beautiful?

This is a sweater I bought a month ago that is sturdy enough to keep me alive during those authentic Canadian winter mornings where I would have to trek my way through ten inches of snow to get to school. I bought this cape when I was doing a little after school shopping. During my lunch break, I spotted a luxurious brown plaid designed cape that I wanted badly. When I came back to get it, they were completely sold out! I was so pissed off, I was ready to shoot someone. But then, I just picked up the black one instead because it was better than not buying it at all. When I slipped it on, I immediately fell in love and grabbed my fake fur and my little black bag I sewed and bam, instant luxe.

So the lesson is, do not ever leave any H and M items unattended or else it will be gone in a second. But, it led to an even better purchase.... So, there really isn't lesson.

Aside from my phenomenal lust for fashion, I'm also crazy about my hairstyle. I love changing it around to fit my mood and sometimes my sleeping schedule. I always try to get ready in 10 minutes and when I wake up a bit late, I just leave it down and put in some texture cream. But if I have 2 extra minutes to spare, I hairspray it upside down and blow dry it to achieve the slick back look.

The best tip I can give to you about hair is to keep your hair dirty and only wash it once every week. It sounds gross, but it was the best thing I've ever done to my hair. I don't know how this works for girls with long hair but for boys like me, it's a worthwhile routine.

It was an illusion

I snapped these pictures Saturday night when I came home from partying in the city. I had a sudden urge to take photos so I took a quick shower and posed for some pictures with my trustee remote and I. The next morning, I woke up to 200 photos of me posing provocatively on my furniture in a pair of pajama pants and at least 50 of them were taken of me doing crazy contortionist shit on the floor and kitchen table.

Well anyways, these were the slightly normal/pretty ones. The last one is odd but I needed another vertical photo so the post looks appealing.

I Think I'm a Bunny

I got this shirt in the mail from Skummi two days ago and all I could think about was bunnies. Well, I have big ears and I jump around so I'm already half way there. Now all I need is to be decked out in a fur bodysuit... or a fur collar would be a more fashionable alternative.

Anyways, I got a haircut a few days ago and my fringes are pushed back now, despite what it looks like in the second picture. This photo was taken at the end of the a rainy day so the products must have washed off. Also, note the bunny's expression in the photos. In the first one, he looks extremely happy but in the second one, he looks like such a bitch. Haha, I just thought that was cool to point out.. :)

I think I'm diagnosed with a disease called post-summer trauma or messed up weather intuition because this is probably the very few times I've worn shorts. During most of the summer, I've been wearing my skin-tight black skinnies and boots. Well, at least' I tried making it look warm-ish by wearing a blazer and a scarf. I would never dare to wear this beyond the premises of my house because it's getting close to 0 degrees Celsius now. Everyone would look at me like I'm wearing undies and a blazer! Well, these shorts are probably just as tiny as boxers...

Something about the crisp autumn air or the erosion of leaves makes me absurdly drowsy. When I'm sitting through class, I have tendencies to fantasize about falling asleep on a field of grass in a park. I'm not sure if this fantasy evolved from the soothing fall environment or the painfully boring lecture I'm sitting through. This has definitely influenced my decision to take a break from my skin-tight leather leggings and boots and slip on a relaxed pair of chinos and oxfords. Sibling Love and Contest Winner

The fact that the frame of the photos look exactly the same emphasizes the family resemblance between Tammy and I. It's somewhat shocking to compare our facial features in pictures because in actuality, we look significantly different. However, one difference between me and her is that I can wear sheer shirts with nothing under in public (which I'm quite proud of)! Recently, I've treated my burn out/sheer shirts as my foundations for layering. It looks a hundred miles better than a conventional tee shirt anyways.

I've been holding this post for such a long period of time because I've just been busy updating my own content and also of my horrendous memory. Anyways, they are a big inspiration and I can't believe they aren't in a cat fight with one another! Who are your style icons?
No question our style icons are Mary-Kate and Ashley. We have always been amazed by their ever-changing looks and styles, and now most inspirational is their business intelligence. They run two incredible high-fashion lines, and are continuously proving they are the top fashion icons of this generation.

Who is your number one designer?
It's always a tight-race as to who our favorite designer is, but as of right now Alexander Wang is our number one. With all the extraordinary established designers, Wang proved being a Rookie can't stop you. He has an amazing point of view. He can translate rocker-chic looks into comfortable, uber stylish clothing. Always keeping on eye on what he's working on!

If you ever had a daily uniform....
Our daily uniform would be a chunky cable-knit infinity scarf, simple Alexander Wang top, leather skirt, and one of the many drool-worthy All Saints boots. (Insert a variety of sunglasses and handbags!)

If you guys were lollipop colors, what would you be?
Emily would be a grape lollipop because it represents a lady-like royalty. Purple is also feminine and romantic, which she loves to mix with her rocker-chic style. Abigail would be a cherry lollipop because it matches her lust for life. The red defines her bit of sass and confidence (usually appearing in lipstick or a wallet.)

Another Canadian has knocked my socks off once again. The minimalist colour palette is wonderful and the effortless draping of the garments is very stunning. That asymmetrically tee/dress and the chunky knit cardigan are simply stunning. Mom... if you are reading this (which is probably highly unlikely), then you know what I want for Christmas.

Unisexy: Rad Hourani

This is by far the best spring collection I've seen from New York fashion week. I love androgyny, especially for fall and winter (ironically this is New York SPRING fashion week). I love the sharp geometric cutting along with the draping of the garments. The shade color palette is wonderful. This collection is totally Juun. J meets Gareth Pugh, creating a wearable collection? That would probably never happen but Rad Hourani did a wonderful job. Oh.. and I love how some female models and male models walk side by side with the same outfit although I feel that the guys wear it a lot better than the girls...

Oversized and Underworked

I've been all over the place ever since school started so the best thing to wear is my over sized shirt. I've been wearing a lot simple jeans and t-shirts lately because I'm getting lazy and kind of sick. Anyways, I sewed this shirt a while ago; I simply sewed a wide-neck giant t-shirt in a soft grey. It's not complex but I love the draping of this tee when it's tucked into a pair of skinny jeans.

I hung out with two (out of the three) best friends today, we just walked around, took some ridiculously embarrassing shots and had a few that were decent-looking enough to blog. On top of that, I got my hair trimmed and it looks a lot better now that it's thinner. Thanks Lydia! By the way, I'm thinking of investing on another pair of Doc Martens or maybe some other boots, any suggestions?

I am currently having a major obsession with sheer materials as you have probably noticed in one of my many posts of some sort of transparent garment. Coincidently, I have the exact same shirt worn in the first and last photo. There is something about the luxuriousness of a super sheer garment that appeals to me. I know fall is almost coming and very often, everyone imagines thick knits and heavy wool coats, but layering a see-through shirt would be a cool twist.

Fall, Please Stay for Awhile

It's finally cold enough to bring out some of my bad-ass clothes. But you'll never know, it could be gruesomely hot one day and freezing another day; weather is quite the prankster. I've always held a grudge against summer/spring fashion for men, it didn't quite do it for me. I tend to adore winter/fall fashion because it's more intricate. Also, you don't have to worry about wearing too much clothes because that's what I always do in summer...bad habit.

I found these faux-leather legging-esque pants about a month ago in the sale section of Zara and I love them. Although I probably have dozens of black skinny pants, I gave in and bought these because I have a sweet spot for tight and shiny things... haha I'm such a drag. But they kind of look Burberry Prorsum no?

Black Block White Riot from Fiasco Magazine

The fact that this boy looks like he was extracted from a toxic construction site is super cool and inspirational especially for fall. The styling takes the "military chic" trend to a new level with a powerful color palette and cutting edge pieces. I love the gas mask and the glasses because it emulates people of a black block and their mysterious identities. The combination of texture and not to mention, the stunning model (Sylvester Ulv) are exceptional and contributes to the story behind the pictures of a reckless rebellion.

Vintage Boy

I love the fact that this scarf looks like a vintage Persian rug that would be laying in my living room floor. Rug-esque or not, I love it. This is the perfect scarf for fall because it goes with all my neutral beiges, greys, blacks, white, and navys (which is practically most of my wardrobe for next season). Who knows, maybe in winter I will lay this in my living room floor. Or maybe I'll chuck it in the back of my mom's car so I can whip it out at sudden bonfires and picnics. It's all about versatile clothing these days right? Look at American Apparel and their multi-functional dresses.

Gold Lamé

First off, you can see that the slits on my eyebrows are growing back. I'm debating whether I should reshave it or not. Second, an obvious trend that I see for fall is gold lamé shown in the images below. I paired my gold lamé sweater with a pair of faux leather pants and Doc Martens. Hopefully I don't get deathly stares from people when I wear this out of the premises of my living room. Here are photos that rock gold lamé in a very interesting way which inspired me to even buy this shirt. Whatever, it was a steal anyways; I bought it for two fifty at the Goodwill sale last Friday.

Wilfred Fall/Winter 2010

I know this is a women's collection but I love the shapes and color palette of the collection. I really need that camel-colored coat and the overalls; they would be perfect for fall and maybe even winter. I'm a bit skeptical of wearing a one-piece overall but I guess I could try it out in the near future. And a trend that I keep seeing everywhere (I mean it) is playing up the contrast between masculinity and femininity and it shows in this collection with the man-inspired outerwear and even some of the fabrics (ie. the overalls).

The cruise was pretty darn amazing but I'm glad to be back, even if I still feel the ship rocking. I met a few fun people that I would probably never see again but it's all good and ate tons of great food. Sorry I don't have pictures of a lot of the outfits because I didn't take my camera everywhere and it was all basically tiny short shorts and skimpy tank tops (you get the picture). Well, I only had a tiny duffle bag that would probably only fit the stuff you would bring on a weekend so all I could pack was the basic stuff.

The worst part of the cruise was the shows. Holy sh*t the shows were too overboard, I felt like I was at a PG gay club without all the action. I watched a couple of them and always left in between each act. On the other hand, the best part of the cruise was the tanning part. I look like a stuffed lobster now but I'll be a nice golden color once my burn fades. On the second last day, I spent three hours lying outside in the sun just to get it so it better be good.

Vacation is over now and school is in a week so I'm going to enjoy the last three days of my summer break relaxing. I'm just looking forward for fall and the weather is slightly shifting colder here in Toronto (or is it just me?).

Bye bye tacky pirates, I'm going to miss you guys.

Off to Miami: The Boyfriend Look

If you are one of my twitter followers, you would probably know that I am flying to Miami to board a cruise to somewhere in the Caribbean (not sure exactly where). Don't worry there will be lots of pictures when I get back which will be August 22nd! So I'm gone for one whole week! If there is no internet access there, I won't be able to update my blog, but if there is, then I will probably update once!

Anyways, the boyfriend look is great for girls who don't have boyfriends because they don't have boyfriends to borrow clothes from. But if you really think about it, your boyfriend could actually wear your "boyfriend look" clothes since everything is kind of boy-fitting anyways. Smart eh?

I bought these shades the other day when I went thrift store shopping with a friend. They are a super cheap rendition of Gaga-esque/Bryanboy glasses for only two dollars! I think they are those shades in which construction workers wear for intense sun coverage because the brand of the glasses are "Solar Shield" haha.

I also got a Coolcam Poloraid 600 from the thrift store for only four dollars! As a Polaroid beginner, I didn't know that Polaroid 600 film would be so expensive! But I'll keep it until they make a comeback and start remaking the film again. So in the mean time, I'll leave it lying around in my room so I look like a hipster scum. Speaking about hipsters, I was trying to explain what a hipster was to my mom the other day and it was such a fail.

Also, I saw these amazing drop-crotch cargo pants at Zara lying around in the sale section and I had to get them. They are so soft and they are probably one of my favorite pairs of pants next to my TNA trousers. They are really comfortable and I guess they fit into the whole "military chic" trend which will be exploding across the streets in fall.

Eating traditional food is an essential to some people, probably including me. But knowing there will be amazing food on the cruise excites me! I went out with my family for one last Asian dinner before one week of totally exotic (but still yummy) foods.

As you may have noticed, my sister jacked my swagger once again! She bought the exact same pair of shoes as me except in white. But I must admit, those look pretty bad ass, it almost looks futuristic.

I should probably continue packing now considering my flight is in less than four hours. I'm not going to think much about what to wear as I'll probably be melting from the heat anyways. I'm probably going to be on the down low for the next week or I might post some pictures during my cruise (if I have internet access that is)! Stay fresh and fabulous!
